Maarten Marsman is Assistant Professor of Psychological Methods at the University of Amsterdam. He combines psychometric theory, often bridging the fields of latent variable and network modeling, with the development of statistical models and techniques for analyzing and understanding psychological phenomena. In the past decade, Marsman has focused on developing Bayesian methods for analyzing psychological data with statistical models - especially psychometric models - and the open-source statistical software JASP. His current focus on Bayesian analysis of graphical models extends his focus on psychometric modeling into the realm of network analysis.
